Late Paycheck

I work for a dot-com, Link-Systems. I have worked there nearly 9 years. I don't know how many people can say that about their employment at a dot com. But that industry's reputation for volitilty is starting to catch up with me. I am owed a paycheck from last year. And this past pay period they were unable to pay me once again.

This is not the first time, not even the second time. But this is a very awkward time for me, personally. I have made that clear to my CEO, but I believe there is little that he can do. He claims he is owed many hundreds of thousands of dollars by our primary client, and they just have not paid. I guess I believe him.

So, I've been surfing the employment sites. And updating my resume.

Two people from Link-Systems quit this week. They both became teachers in the Hillsborough county public school system. My gosh, they are being paid as well as I am. I have to be tempted by the thought of steady pay, but I suspect that high school would not be a healthy environment for me, personally.
