Dad, can I call Ashley?

The bus was late to arrive this morning. 7:45 or so. So I stood around with the other parents. Its like a tailgate party, but without the fun.

And I was informed that Cian is the screensaver for his girlfriends phone.

“Ashley made Cian the screensaver on her phone,” said casual 4th grader Danny.

“What?” I said, confused.

“She took pic with her phone and made him her screensaver.”

“But she’s only a 4th grader.” (A 4th grader with a picture phone??)

“So?”

“But he’s only a kindergartner.” (A kindergartner with a girlfriend??)

“hahaha”

Cian just grinned at me. If I could catch that grin, I’d make it my screensaver.

“No, Cian, you’re not calling her tonight.”
